Join us to explore dancing blues solo and with friends! Shob and Coco will teach some classic vernacular solo blues vocabulary as well as explore blues aesthetics in your solo movement.
Then in the second class we will learn how to trade phrases, draw inspiration, share rhythms as well as affirm and appreciate our friends! How can we lift them up as we dance together and bring out the best in us both?

Featuring an intermediate pure balboa class to get you inspired and then 2.5 hours of great social dancing...featuring some beautiful slow balboa tunes as well!

Monday nights - Fairfield Bowling Club (Fairfield)
These classes are designed for dancers starting from scratch. They'll introduce the fundamentals of blues dancing, the basic shapes and some accessible moves you can use on the social dance floor. Each class will build up your blues vocabulary so you can start creating and improvising with your partner.
Expect to have fun and meet loads of new people, while you explore becoming a grounded, versatile and expressive dancer.
We'll also share some of the amazing artists who have created the blues and hope to inspire you to learn more about this rich, living culture.
